Vision & Mission
Vision. The committee aspires to become a leading independent institution, recognized by the Lebanese society as a national and international reference in the field of life sciences and health ethics, working for the promotion and development of such a culture.
Mission. The Committee's mission is to conduct studies and provide advice, suggestions and recommendations on ethical issues related to individuals or groups and raised by research and applications in the field of life sciences and health.

Decrees
On May 5, 2001, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 63/2001 as to the establishment of the Lebanese National Consultative Committee on Ethics (LNCCE). The Committee included a president and eighteen members with backgrounds in science, sociology, philosophy, medicine, law and religion. The bylaws it drafted was approved by the Prime Minister on February 6, 2002.

The Lebanese National Consultative Committee on Ethics (LNCCE) is an independent, multidisciplinary and pluralist committee created on May 15, 2001 by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (Decree No. 63 / 2001). Its mission is to provide advice on ethical and social issues raised by the progress of knowledge in the fields of biology, medicine and health.
